What is one credit?
It's a virtual currency that lets us simplify Geoapify Pricing Policy and provide universal costs for each API. In general, 1 API request costs 1 credit for simple requests like Geocoding API, Places API, Routing API. Learn more about Credits and Costs per API on Pricing Details page.

What is the Custom plan and what does "Unmetered" mean?
We offer special conditions for customers with high volumes. Depending on your case we can offer dedicated resources for you at a fixed price or a special pricing plan for custom rate limits. We do not bill you per API calls but per resource usage.
You use "from" in the "Custom" pricing plan declaration. What the price of the Custom plan depends on?
It depends on your requirement - volumes, required rate limits, and SLA level. For example, if you decide to use dedicated servers: 1 server costs 700€ / month + 200€ one-time setup fee.
Which rate limits is one dedicated server (one platform installation) able to support?
Up to 500 requests/sec of map tiles, up to 50 requests/sec of Geocoding API calls, up to 20 requests/sec of Routing API calls, up to 5-10 requests/sec of Isolines API calls. Note, the numbers may differ if you have mixed API calls. A few installations can be combined into a cluster if you need higher volumes.
What is a rate limit? What happens if I go over it?
The rate limit is the maximum number of requests per second the Geoapify Location Platform guarantees per your account depending on your pricing plan. We have rate limits on our platform to provide a stable service for all customers. In general, we do not throttle when you go over the limits. However, we reserve the right to restrict you if your rate limit consistently higher than your pricing plan, and if your requests have an impact on the performance of the Location Platform.
Do you have the same rate limits for all the APIs?
No, API calls can have different execution times and require different resources. For example, map tile request is significantly lighter than isoline request. In terms of credits, you can consider 1 request = 1 API call that costs 1 credit. So for map tiles, the rate limit can be multiplied by 4.
What happens if I exceed the daily quota?
Our limits are "soft". If your usage constantly goes over the quota we contact you and ask for an upgrade. We reserve the right to block your account if you ignore our emails.
Can I use the Free plan in commercial projects?
Yes, we do not restrict that. However, you must provide an appropriate Geoapify attribution or link to our website.

Does Geoapify offer Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
All paid plans include a default SLA of 99.5% availability within one month. If less than 99.5% availability (but more than 99%) is reached then a discount of 10% can be requested for the affected period. If monthly availability goes below 99%, a 50% discount can be requested for the affected period. Higher SLA and custom terms are possible on request.

How can I decrease my costs?
Using batch requests is one possible way to decrease costs by up to 50%. Another option is subscribing to the Custom pricing plan. Contact us for more details.
Do prices include VAT, Sales Tax, and other applicable taxes and fees?
No, our prices are exclusive of any additional taxes or fees, and the final price may appear to be higher. It depends on your country of residence, legal status, address, payment method, and other factors. Every country imposes its own taxation rules and fees that can influence the price. Also, most countries allow formally incorporated businesses to deduct VAT and Sales Tax for B2B purchases.
I need to process data from time to time only. The subscription is not the best option for me. Do you provide other payment options?
